The Forum has 9116 registered users since the beginning, and approaching 5000 badge-holding members. Where'd you find 7118?

It said latest member to join the forum 7118, on the home page. Did I read that wrong?

Ah! I see now. Early on, before the forum existed, badges were issued on the Overland Bound Facebook Page. If anyone wanted a special number, you could request it. For instance when I requested 0202, there were still a couple of 00xx badges available and several 01xx badge. As you can imagine, this quickly became untenable, and sequential numbers became the standard. Perhaps OB#7118 was one of those early Facebook folk, and just joined the forum today.

Or, as I suspect, a new member ordered their badge and entered the order number into their profile instead of their badge number. ;)
