Here's a quick how-to video for changing the oil in the 5th gen 4Runner:

It's certainly a bit of a hassle but the up-side is that you can drain it before removing. You get used to it after a few changes too.

Yep Toyotas are a pain in the but to change. My trd pro came with little door in the skid plate makes it a lot easier. Don't have to drop the plate anymore.

Holy crap! I'm glad Toyotas come with the 2-year Toyota Care package.
BTW, I have a 2016 TRDP 4R and the TRD skid plate does not come with the hatch. Great!
