4, 88, 80, & 134 during the winter

Hi,
New still so pardon the probably easy for some question. Imagine one wanted to get out on the above highways, any of them, and explore. It seems all the trails are closed for the winter based on the USFS map. What isn’t closed? Are there any spots one could hit during the winter or is it all closed due to snow and such? Where do you all go to get the exploration bug taken care of during the winter?

I think most dirt roads are closed to 4x4 for the winter. You could check out the Mormon Immigrant Trail, it's paved but not plowed and appears to be open for 4wd use.

Thanks, that’s what I was afraid of. I don’t think I had seen that page before, I always just use the map. That page is great.

That’s badass. Thanks for the pic. I guess I’m so used to the droughts now I never thought it would get like that again up there. After this weekend I figure my question was just plain dumb :).

Here's highway 4 as of this morning, still lots of snow up there. That said, the snow was pretty thin in Dorrington so it is possible that the Sourgrass Trail might be somewhat clear.
