This is actually a VERY good question. We are in the process of evaluating the height data size, which does not seem like it would be to large ACCEPT it is in a DEM file (raster image) which is large. So we have to evaluate size, and cost. Jury is out right now, but desire noted.

This is looking really promising! I remember on the OB1 app launch trailer it was mentioned also something about 3D maps navigations... will this be developed at some point as well?

Yes! This will be available for navigation as well. As well as viewing POI locations, and Rally Point details.
