From what I just found, all you need is your Vetean ID card to be admitted... just be mindful that there is a “May” grant access or discounts at the public lands you are wishing to visit. If the park, campground, or commissary is ran by a private third party, then the discounts don’t apply.Man that is the only article I can find that it applies to all veterans. Wish I could find another because even the NP site hasnt updated to state that.

The details are minimal at this point but I expect this will apply to Park admission only and not provide any camping or gift shop discounts - sort of like the America the Beautiful Annual Pass. Otherwise, some sort of unique identifier will be necessary to prove your qualification for a discount when making camping reservations through the recreation dot gov site. Its been my experience (mostly southeast and southwest camping) that most concession operated campgrounds do allow half price camping for those of us with the geezer pass. From what I just found, all you need is your Vetean ID card to be admitted... just be mindful that there is a “May” grant access or discounts at the public lands you are wishing to visit. It depends on the area I guess... most of the northwest is privately subsidized camp groundsThe details are minimal at this point but I expect this will apply to Park admission only and not provide any camping or gift shop discounts - sort of like the America the Beautiful Annual Pass. Haven't had the chance to do any camping in the northwest yet but hope to remedy that if this COVID mess ever goes away. Hope it will be OK to reach out for suggestions when that time does come.It depends on the area I guess... most of the northwest is privately subsidized camp grounds

Of course you can reach out to myself, or any of the northwest member representative team for local information. Parts of the northwest are being hit harder than others in this pandemic... where I live it’s statistically more probable to get trampled by a raging bull than getting the virus. But then again, cattle outnumber humans 100-1Haven't had the chance to do any camping in the northwest yet but hope to remedy that if this COVID mess ever goes away.
