We sold our 2012 Wrangler JK Rubicon a year or so ago and we missed having a smaller more agile 4x4 and since we got more for our Jeep than expected, we dove right in and bought a new 2022 Tacoma 4x4 and commenced to build an offroad overland vehicle!

So far the little Tacoma has proved to be more than capable on moderate level trails and can safely pull our inTech Sol Horizon/Rover camper. (Would rather pull the camper with the 3/4 ton P/U but for short trip, the Tacoma is good to go! ). I'll be happy to answer any questions! Thanks for allowing me to share!

Looks great! How well do the brakes work with the 33"s?

I am impressed with how well a mostly stock Tacoma does offroad. Usually with mine it is ground clearance that cause the issue.

Thank you! Your rig looks pretty good as well!

The breaks are excellent with the 33"s and the 3" lift. No issues. From a clearance perspective, I'm glad I added the skid plate. Extra protection is a good thing!
