I’m back I had to get trade “Eddie” my old 2008 Explorer in & get a new rig. But I’m back and taking on the task of making an overland rig out of an 2018 Ford Explorer. I know this is unusual but that’s why I love it. Support and encouragement will be welcomed. Pics and a tour will follow.View attachment 112148

Went out on a 3 day overland trip out to West Branch State Park. Took the back roads out there & back. No off road but some the paved roads was pretty beat up. Used it as a dress rehearsal for our bigger trip in September. Can’t wait

What brand is that rack?
To be honest I can’t remember I got it off amazon. It came on a SLOW boat from China. When it arrived it was a little bit beaten up I recommend that tho before you mount it that u use some silicone to seal up the gaps in the tubes Also I re painted mine with some spray on bed liner. It added some grip to it and looks better than it did in the original pics
