New to the forum and to trucks/overland in general. I'm hoping to document and build lasting memories in my family's used (new to us) 2018 4runner ORP w/4,600 miles and good amount of modifications from the previous owner.

I'll be documenting my adventures as I learn about this whole new arena. I come from owning a performance shop for over 10 years modifying European cars and drag racing. In this world I plan to enjoy this a bit more with the family and learn from other members in the community to hopefully have that 'outdoor' bond with my family that would truly be a blessing. No phones, iPads, or useless electronics that keep all of us a way from spending time with each other. My kids are 2, 6, and 10... and my amazing and beautiful wife is excited about our new adventures together as a family...

Here's my first video on YouTube... more to come. Shameless plug, but if you like it, hit that sub!, if you don't... hit that thumbs down twice for me! :)

I'm in NorCal and will definitely be joining the trips and meeting everyone up in our 'region'.

God Bless and stay safe!

Part 2 Added! Walk Around with full mod list...

Nice find Joe! I have similar goals to get the family outdoors. Messaging from the RTT now while my 4yo daughter is laying next to me. Her first camp out even though it’s in the backyard. My 18’ T4R-OR was also partially built up. Best way to get started I think. The s-pod is intriguing. I don’t have many needs for it right now but more things are coming soon. Look forward to more vids.

@sissupr it went great. She made it all night even though it got pretty warm out. She is a trooper! My wife and 9yo son are very interested after seeing how into our girl was. This could be the motivation we need to move forward. Then we’ll be ready for the road!

Quick update. Picked up my iKamper 2.0 4X and built my first low profile drawer system with floor base plate with fridge tie downs. Should be camping at Valley Fire this week (pending weather). The iKamper is mounted on a low profile no-drill Prinsu Rack.

Just drove 500 miles from NorCal to Vegas. All I can say is this combo is amazing! There is virtually no wind noise and is actually better then when the iKamper is mounted because the wind deflector lines up perfectly with the iKamper hard shell. I'm going to post a video of the wind noise, or lack of it driving through Death Valley and Mojave which has it wind gusts areas on the highway.

More pics and videos of the my DIY drawer build and rear base plate to come.

Couple of build updates.

Finally got to install my Roadshower v1 5 gallon tank after selling my iKamper. The RTT was awesome, but it took up the entire roof rack! Going to try a shiftpod XL ground tent because it will fit my family of 5 (3 small kids and the wife) and only take up 1/3 of the roof rack.

This is the original version Roadshower before they were acquired by Yakima. It has upgraded parts so I can pressurized a little higher if needed. The warning label says 18psi...haha. I usually pressurize to 30psi. I'll post a video this weekend. For added safety, I wrap a reusable rubber gear tie around the tank and the hose head. Don't want that thing flying around on the highway. If haven't seen these things at Lowe's or Home Depot, they are awesome and I use them for hanging my Solar Panel off my rack or for anything that you need to easily remove and secure...

Also picked up my 1st Rotopax 2 gallon water container. This thing is awesome. Wanted to try it out as a portable water for washing hands, etc. So I also purchased a spout from Joe's. If you haven't heard of them, check them out. It's a local NorCal guy that designs some pretty cool items for the 4runner. I'll post a video of this as well. It took me forever to find a spout online, there's only one other company that makes them and they were sold out. Glad I stumbled across Joe's website. I'm not affiliated or know him... just throwing that out there.

*if you're wondering my pics look so damn orange or off... the wildfires in NorCal are just horrible. So sad...hopefully it's over soon.
