Does anyone have any advice or tips for new leaf springs for a Silverado Crew Cab Z71? Mine are stock, but with the drawer system, bed rack and roof top tent...its apparent its time for an upgrade. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe you just need a add a leaf to the rear, as for me I plan to change the spring pack when I change to a 6in lift and going to use the bds rear leaf spring pack as it eliminates lift blocks

Those helper air shocks would be one route, another would be adding some leafs or another spring setup from a larger heavy duty model or there are places that will make custom leafs for you. Id go with the air shock helpers just because i would also have an excuse for an onboard air tank and they can be adjusted.

I have a set of Super Springs (SSA5) on my '17, and absolutely love them. They provide better load leveling, and don't stiffen up the ride like an AAL. They are quiet, and one of these install it and forget about it items.

Picture is not mine, but found on the web

Due to my additional weight of camper shell with roof rack, hitch tire carrier with 35" spare, and other 'goodies' inside the camper shell, I definitely noticed a slight sag on my 02 2500hd. The shop added a 'add a left' and it has worked out great. No more sag and I do not feel any difference in ride quality. The shell, hitch carrier, etc. are always on maybe that's why I don't feel any difference and truck is never 'unloaded' to know otherwise. It's a small investment and less moving parts compared to say getting bags. Parts and install for me was $130.

Not sure if I need a whole new leaf spring setup. I'm sure the shop would have told me $$$$.

^^^^ Agreed, there is a difference between unloaded rig with an AAL and a loaded rig with the AAL. Loaded, you'll never notice the harsh ride, and loaded it's very pleasant.
