The last day trip we did this weekend was to Rose Valley which is in between Ojai and Lockwood Valley on Highway 33. This area offers a nice swimming hole in the Sespe River, Waterfalls, and a very scenic drive.

There is no off-roading in Rose Valley, but it is definitely worth the trip

Here is a picture of the swimming hole. It is deep enough that you can jump off the rocks.

I finally got my Cobra 75 wired directly to the battery. I read on CB forums that this helps reduce squelch and increase range. If this doesn't help then I will wire to my WFRB. Anyways, I feel like I should have went VHF. Anyone else disappointed in their CB?

I installed a Cobra 75 as well. The basic issue with all CB's is range, open road is good but mountains not so good. I am currently working on a HAM radio licence. There are some great post's to read, with out being over technical. You did not go the wrong path with the Cobra 75, IMO. Each communications device has a purpose.

Very nice build! I've been looking at upgrading my factor lights on my 2016 Rubicon. I'll have to check out the 2017 LEDs.

I just got back from spending 4th of July weekend in the Sierra Mountains, for specifically Monache Meadows. The trip was a ton of fun and it allowed me to see what I was missing for future long term trips. This was probably one of the best times I have had this Summer. You have to take a 4x4 trail to get to this location and there are very few people there.

I haven't done much wheeling this last week, but I was able to tune my dad's Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 Diesel. Driving this truck makes me want a Diesel so bad. It is a 2007 Trx with a 6spd and 4.10's. It is a ton of fun to drive and will smoke Hondas on the freeway.

I decided to venture to Hollister Hills OHV for the first time. This place had a lot more hardcore trails and obstacles than I imaged, but it also had a fair amount of easy and moderate trails that I spent most of the day on. Unfortunately, I got stuck in the mud pit. Thank goodness I didn't break anything on a brand new Jeep Rubicon...also saw the Rickmobile in Santa Clara.

I was able to spend the weekend at Shaver Lake which is located in the Sierra Mountain range about 50 miles outside of Fresno. It was an awesome experience that offered tons of swimming and fishing. We were even able to ride around with the doors off.

Here you can see my new camping set-up. I decided to start utilizing the Gobi rack more by using Plano Sportsman Cases to hold all my gear.

What snorkel are you planning on going with since the AEV doesn't work with the Gobi rack?
