Well, unfortunately on my way back from my Grand Teton and Yellowstone trip, a mule deer decided to jump out in front of my rig.

Hit it at 80mph since I was on the interstate. The curtain airbag and drivers seat airbag deployed when it ricocheted off the bumper and into the driver side doors. It will be down for awhile being repaired and the upgrades I purchased will be delayed regarding installation. Have to really thank C4 Fabrication for making an insanely strong rock slider that prevented catastrophic damage to the drivers side and kept me safe. More info to come within the next few weeks.

Damn man... glad youre ok. Well since the bumper is toast, might be a good time for an upgrade lol. It make perfect sense too... now you have a reason for wanting a big strong steel one lol. Sliders dont even look scratched...

That's what I was planning but insurance is being very slow since they have to contract to local companies for the estimates. The sliders came out unscathed and didn't lose any paint! The shop I'm taking it to already knows I want to replace the bumper so they are working out the price difference for parts.

Alrighty guys, it has been a long time since I’ve been on here due to some personal matters. Here is an update on the 4Runner. I got it back from the body shop last week after 4 weeks of repairs (unfortunately it will have to go back in because there are a lot of issues, some major, with the repairs performed).

But on the bright side, my front bumper was finished yesterday and I was able to pick it up!

I love living so close to these guys! They do incredible work and make great products! Because of their rock sliders, my vehicle was not totaled
Since I am grateful for their products I ordered the low Pro front bumper.

It will be painted over the next few days, and the install should take place in roughly a week. To go with the bumper, I bought the Smittybilt XRC gen 2 9,500 winch (with synthetic line).

I will be getting the light bar for the bumper as well, but I’m still undecided on if I want a full white row or have it include amber beams. Stay tuned!
