Thanks guys. I am still considering the rack to carry some extra items, but have been trying to curb the spending for a bit.

Tritonl- thanks for the heads up. I’m on experticity but never thought to look for the rack on there. I’ll check it out.

I’ll be driving the jeep out to Colorado at the end of July into August so have been doing some prep. First up was a Dynatrac progrip brake upgrade. I’ve been meaning to upgrade the factory brakes for a while after the 37’s, but watching videos of steep declines on trails towards cliff edges gave me some motivation

They feel great so far and a noticeable difference from factory. Money well spent.

I’ve been running a 4 gal rotopax on an Evo spare tire mount when I need it but decided to try out the AEV fuel caddy. Definitely a clean look and holds an easy 10 gallons fully loaded. I tested it out once so far and am pretty happy with it. The siphon works well but it is difficult to get all the gas out at the very bottom. It seems like this is a common complaint from users, but isn’t a huge deal to me given how much it holds.

Just realized I haven't updated this in a while. Got the Evo quarter pounder front bumper on, warn zeon 10-s, and fog light replacements...

That’s a tight fit! looks like only a few inches to spare in that garage.

Thank I would only be able to run 35s do to the same clearance issues.

Nice looking rig, please keep us up,to date on the build.

The plan was a removeable design and the front half just fits through the back door with the door tether unhooked

Overall pretty happy with the way it turned out. It’ll definitely give a ton more storage underneath and feels solid enough for now. I’ll definitely be making a few tweaks to it after the trip though.

This is by far the best looking DIY platform i've seen for a JKU. Great work! The way you took the time to cut those perfect contours in the back section, holy smokes, I hope you took a few minutes to just sit there and appreciate how well you did after you installed it all.

Thanks for the complements. Yea, I’m happy with the fit for sure. Sometimes those cuts just come out better than others

Looks awesome. If you wrapped the ends of the supports in carpet, just enough to where it looks like it goes all the way and you couldn't tell it is lumber, it would look factory.

Thanks again guys. I blasted through a little over 1800 miles in 2 days and the jeep made it Colorado in one piece. The platform worked really really well in getting everything packed. I’m stopping over in Colorado Springs tonight and then the last 6 hours to Telluride tomorrow. And the adventure begins...

Totally been slacking on following up after the Colorado trip so I’ll be updating a bunch of pics. Starting off will be the mini trip to visit the crystal mill. A well known and heavily photographed spot. The trail to the mill turned out to be a lot more fun than expected and was a great way to kick off the Colorado scenery.

I had some time to kill outside of Montrose, CO waiting on the gf’s delayed flight so explored a bit around that area. Got lucky with some passing storms creating crazy nice skies.

The AEV 2.5 with 35s is a great setup. I had that combo with duratracs on my last Rubicon and actually think it rode better than this one with the AEV 3.5”/37s. Where are you bringing it for the regear? Happy Thanksgiving to you too
