With the heavy storm damage this past winter, I am finding that many of the routes that were on my list to explore this summer are closed. The USDA Forest Service put up an interactive map that makes it very easy to check on our proposed route for possible closures. Many of the routes are impassable/closed. They provide photos and descriptions for some of the damaged trail sections too.

Check it out here: https://www.fs.fed.us/r5/webmaps/StormDamage2017/

Cheers

I'm trying to find a gov site where I can download the raw data from that interactive map. It would be very useful if a GPX or KML file was available with the same data. Then I could import it into Gaia GPS on my iPad and being it along with me into the great outdoors!

Thanks for the link. Looks like one of my trips planned will need to be revised.
