Well...my plans for the All Pro rock sliders have fallen through. I had heard great things about All Pro, but so far not impressed at all!

I ordered them back on Feb 2nd. 3 weeks into the order I noticed the status was still "processing" so I called them. All Pro told me they were really busy, but was working hard and to hang in there, which I did. I called them back a little over a month into it and they said they were partnering with Trail Gear and that hopefully things would be going as they should soon. Called them again about a month and a half in and they said they would get back to me on the status of my order. They called me last night to inform me that All Pro quit making the Heavy Duty sliders for the FJ before I ordered them (even though I ordered them off their website), and that I could either downgrade, or upgrade to their Apex ones. My next comment was something like, "why don't you guys take me to the Apex ones for no additional cost since its been almost 2 months"? They told me they could ask their manager about that...who should be back in 1 to 2 weeks. LOL.

At that point I just requested a refund. It was then that they told me that they could not refund me because they did not have my money. They said when they bought All Pro, that All Pro did not give them all the cash for the newest orders. They told me all the customers that have wanted refunds have been instructed to dispute the transaction with their banks. So now I have to wait for my bank to investigate and refund my money for me...which could take two months.
Take a look at these, https://white-knuckleoffroad.com/product/toyota-fj-cruiser-rock-sliders/
I bought these for my '85 CJ7 and they look and work great. You can get them canted up or level and with the kick-out in the back or not.
Great people to deal with and if you want something special that's not too far outside the norm, they'll do it.
Again, I could not be happier with my White Knuckle Off Road Sliders.....

Drew, I helped a buddy install some white knuckle sliders on his Xterra. They were super nice!

So, I went by my bank on Friday to see if All Pro had paid Suntrust back the 617.00 that I paid them. They said they have a few more days to comply. I then asked if the 617.oo credit they gave me would come out if they didn't pay. They told me as long as All Pro cant produce any documentation that I received my product that I would be fine. WELL, I got to my apartment today and saw All Pro rock sliders at my door. Less expensive ones than the ones I bought.

So lets recap...I bought sliders from All Pro. They never made them and told me they didn't have my money. I let them know that I demanded a refund and they advised me to report it to my bank. My bank gave me a credit, started an investigation with All Pro, and gave them 60 days to pay them back. On day 58 or 59......less expensive sliders appear at my door so All Pro could have documentation to not pay back my money.

This company is the lowest of the low. Actually it's All Pro and Trail Gear, because Trail Gear is running the show there now. I'm planning on taking these things back to UPS and refusing delivery so they can be sent back. Cant believe this company actually tried to make me look like I'm shady to my bank.

Let's take a trip up to Trail Gear and deliver your sliders in person. No hiding behind emails phone calls and a website. They may call theirs White Knuckle after our meeting.

Okay server rack panels came in today. I used the shorter one on the left side where the cargo net hooks are. I just matched up some longer screws to that existing thread, and put some nylon spacers in between the shelf and the cargo hooks. I have some molle pouches on it right now, but I'll probably end up mounting my fire extinguisher stuff there eventually.

The two bigger ones went side by side on the back door. I actually got this idea from another person that had already thought to use server rack panels. I had searched it online when I thought of it, cause you know 99.9% of the time someone on the internet has done it already. Lol. Sure enough a guy on the fjcruiserforums website had used rack panels, so I took my panel sizes from his. I drilled 1/4" holes in the back plastic in the correct locations, and placed washers on the back side of the door piece to add some stability. I tightened down the bolts with some 1/4" nuts so they would not turn. I also used wing nuts on the front side of the shelves. The thought there was if I need to take the shelves off to add a quick fist or molle pouch I wouldn't have to take off the whole interior plastic piece again. So far so good on that!

I think I am going to order two more slightly bigger ones for the bottom section of the door. One section can be for tools, and the other can be for molle pouches. Just as long as I don't put too much weight on it I should be fine. Looks like the buttons on the molle pouches are a bit big for the vented slots, but I can probably get them through if I mess with it enough.

Nice. I did this a while back too but not with the panels you have. I just reused the stud holes for the handle that was on the door. No more dull rusty blades for us!!!

Cool! I'm going to have to take a Dremel to mine and widen the slots on the panel so the straps on the pouches can fit through, but all in all it worked out pretty well.

Picked me up 2 Plano medium size sportsman trunks from Academy Sports last night. Couldn't be happier with them. The lids latch down, there are spots for locks, and there are tie downs. $24.00 a piece. Gonna water proof the lids per another post in here by AZ_Overland. Click here to see those instructions.

Well, I was looking at ARB awnings, but I've decided to take a different route today. Gonna order me some White Knuckle sliders today. They have a good reputation, and the sliders seem to be pretty tough. Gonna go with the bare metal ones, and then probably use Rust-Oleum Hammered on em. Figured any touch up that's needed would be much easier that way instead of dealing with chipped powder coat.

Nice choice Drew. You'll definitely use those sliders more than the awning... even getting in and out of truck or using the roof rack.
if you need somewhere to paint them, holler. You can use my garage.

Nice job on the Plano boxes. I did the same thing with too big of a seal that made them hard to close. Bought a smaller weather seal (black half round with sticky peel back) and it works perfectly. Looks like we got our “poor man pelican cases” ready to go!

Took a dremel to those server rack plates to make room for the buttons on the pouches. Now I can buy me more to line up on it. Thanks to eloist for the dremel! Thinking of using the smaller side one for some if those Element fire extinguishers. 20180812_154854.jpeg20180812_162813.jpeg

Washed, sanded, primed, and painted the sliders today. Thanks to eloist for letting me use the garage! Got to go back tomorrow to hit a few more spots, and then a few days of drying before installation. Went with rustoleum hammered matte black. 20180908_151643.jpeg20180908_151652.jpeg20180908_164109.jpeg20180908_193913.jpeg20180908_193920.jpeg
