I am looking at a 2013 jeep here on the island with 264,000kms. Think it's going to be trouble soon? I do believe it's mostly highway commuting kms. It looks to be in good condition. Thoughts on the milage of the pentastar, and the wrangler itself. thanks!

It all depends on the maintenance done.
Most of your bolt on's are at the end of their life span. If they have no receipts and say "I've never had to put money into it", be cautious. I personally have no issue buying something with that high of milage but go in knowing I'll dump money into it to make it dependable.

3.6l Pentastar is a great engine, the 6sp trans behind it less so. They do however have some characteristic issues (valve train, oil cooler).

That's a lot of miles regardless how it was accumulated, so I would look for evidence of proper maintenance.

Price? If cheap enough I wouldn't worry.

Complete new(ish) 3.6/ZF8 pull out engine/trans are available pretty darned cheap from people doing V8 swaps (AMW,Rubitrux).
