Well..... On the way to my Grandpas funeral my fender flare decided to fly off. So i removed the retaining ring, cleaned it up, welded new studs where the stock ones broke off and reinstalled it.

Flare gone

Some upgrades are coming soon..

Just ordered the following:

LED rock lights
Snorkel
A knock-off version of the Rotopax fuel can ($40 with the mount) so i'll try it and see how it works, I'll fill it with water and drive around for a week or so and make sure it is leak free. Seems to be well made.

Sorry for your loss.

I'm glad to see you replaced the flare. So many flareless XJs out there. Would drive me nuts, personally.

Thanks..

The flare got kinda scuffed up but I'll hit it with my polishing wheels and it will all be good. Even though I'll have to remove most of it again when the snorkel arrives.

Well....... Installed the snorkel yesterday. That was intense!!! Drilling all those holes in my fender had me nervous!

So, I started drilling then remembered after I drilled into my washer fluid reservoir that I was supposed to remove it before drilling, Oh well I have a replacement anyways since it had to be relocated to work with the snorkel.

The finished product!

What brand of snorkel did you go with and how do you like it so far? Do you have any pics of how it mounts onto the A pillar? I've been thinking about a snorkel or cowl intake for mine.

Chinese snorkel off of Ebay, fit and quality seem pretty good, I'll try to remember some pics of the A-pillar mount later.. There are some good youtube videos on snorkel installs.

Adding a snorkel is awesome! One day I will have a vehicle with a snorkel for no other reason than its cool.
Get one for the WJ! I think the only place I saw one for the WJ was ARB i believe and it was like $500+

My Jeep will never see water deep enough to need it, I got it for the dusty gravel and dirt roads around me to keep the air filter cleaner and for looks.

Zj snorkels fit just fine and they are way cheaper at around 120-180 bucks. That's the route I plan on going
