2001 Jeep XJ build (Blue Steel)

Well, unfortunately my other Jeep, Red Riding Hood has been laid to rest...insurance totaled it after the run-in with the light pole.


Sooooo..... This is the replacement: 2001 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) it has 160k miles, runs great. Needs a few odds and ends but over all great shape. Here are some pictures and as i get settled in it ill post more pictures and build ideas. I am looking forward to this build!

It's so.... Stock. I'm sure you have plans to fix that though. Stock is the way to go with buying a rig though, that way you don't have to fix someone else's shoddy work.

Just went and picked up these lift springs and budget boost for the front. Installed new bushings and painted them.

Started gathering all the stuff for my dual battery setup... Got the battery, cable and terminals. Still need to get the solenoid and controller.

You gonna move the airbox and put the battery there or mount it in the back somewhere?

^---Second. Which method is more effective/simpler?

I am going to put it in the back. After reading forums about the under the hood mount it seems like people are having issues with the bracket bending the radiator mounts due to the weight. I probably just mount it in the rear cargo area.

Nope.... Gotta get her trail ready by the second week of February. Have a small 3-day run I am going on.

Congrats on the new rig and it looks like a winner. My buddy has a XJ so Im curious to see how it comes along.
