I have a thread on here for our 4 door Jeep but I haven't posted one for our 2 door.

Here is my wife's 2 door JK affectionately named Wookiee.
It runs on a 3" lift with 37x12.5 Cooper STT Pro tires, D60/D44 axle swap, 4.88 gears and ARB lockers.

Here's a few pics of her Jeep over the years....

Our next trip we'll only be taking the wife's 2 door Jeep (my 4 door is still unassembled at the moment) One of the issues we've had in the past is accessing the fridge and food stuff while the Jeep is packed. To solve this I decided to build a box to house the fridge and our "pantry".

Not quite finished but it's pretty close. Has a 75 qt fridge/freezer on one side that pulls out for easy access, and a drawer on the other side to hold our water jug, pantry boxes and potty. Tent, table and heater up top, sleeping bag is up there in front of the tent, Jackery solar generator on front of the box to run the fridge. Thermarest and 17" Blackstone on the side of the box. All that is left is one more pantry box for snacks

Packed up in the pics below:
I have zero skills as a woodworker. just a guy doing the best I can :)

Love the orange wheels. How do you like your tires? I have completed all my upgrades except for gears. Looking at the bfg at's for me.

Had been using pretty much the same setup for camping. Posted this a few days ago (what did you do with your rig) since my son has his own jeep now I have transitioned to solo camping and staying in the jeep.

I'm 5'7" and have 2 to 3 inches of extra space at the tailgate when laying with my head by the seat. I will be testing this out next weekend with the addition of a 4" foam topper and a 12v heated matress pad.

Wow, I definitely would not have thought of sleeping *in* a 2-door.

Thanks!
We've had great luck with the STT Pro. There's a little over 70,000 miles on them now so we'll have to make the tire decision again soon.
They're D rated and I'd prefer C rated, so I'm considering the Mickey Thompson BAJA BOSS X since it comes in a 37" and C rated. (Since Mickey owns Cooper I hope to get similar results)
