We recently purchased a 99 suburban from a local Fire Dept. Surplus. I've known the history of this vehicle for awhile. It has a lift and custom bumpers with a Warn winch. The rear seats where removed and a extenda-bed slide out was added, that will be converted for storage and kitchen. It has an onboard air compressor for the air assist bags in the rear. I look forward to seeing and getting ideas from other members builds. IMG_20200305_205428_900.jpg

Man I love Suburbans. I don't have one any longer, but they are tits rigs. My only problem was tight trails, you just have to be aware how big it is.
This rig is already set up for a slide out kitchen. Man I am envious.

I drove one of those for several years at work. I bet it is going to be a great platform for overlanding. Enjoy!

Last January I bought a new JL 2Dr Wrangler to replace my 99 "Burb" K1500, but just couldn't part with the Truck. I have owned it since 2000 and put 250k miles in her. No rust due to semi-annual Bar and Chain underspray, Transmission built for towing by a speed shop and engine replaced at 150K. Poor thing doesn't get driven much, so now she has become a garage queen. Sad really. I love the fact that she can get 600 miles per fill up with proper care compared to the measly 17 gallon tank on my JL. IMG_0001.JPGIMG_0002.JPGIMG_0001.JPGIMG_0002.JPG
