Traveler I

So on Saturday I bought me a big red truck.

I feel like it was a really good deal. Got it for $1600. The previous owner had it for 14 years and always had it serviced by the same place. And it was only used on weekends when he pulled his bbq trailer. That is also why it has dents on both sides.
I have already ordered some parts for it but it does need a little love before I mod it.
It needs new interior and exterior door handles on the front doors.
The drivers seat has a broken mount. That made it very interesting to drive home. Every time I hit the gas the seat tilted back.
Leak in the sealing near the rear view mirror (just had a massive rain storm last night that pointed that out). Need to check diff and transfer case fluid (previous owner never used 4 wheel drive).
Power steering doesn't work at low speeds. Going to try to flush the system but most likely will have to replace the pump.
Needs new dash lights.
The power locks don't work on the passenger side.
And I think my speaker might be blown.

I am very excited to start this build.
I also just purchased my membership and am waiting for the emblem.
I also have already ordered a basket for the roof, some lights, a backup camera, and some wind deflectors for the windows.
Will be posting updates as I go.

Hey Dustin, this is going to look really great with time. I have a 2012 Suburban (black) that I'm about to start modifying and while that has a liftgate, I really like your barn doors on the back. A couple of low stress points for adding more gear. Plus - I love the red. With this truck you're making a statement. :sunglasses: I'm looking forward to see what you do with this! Good luck!
