Well it was warm enough today that I was able to get out to do some work on the old jeep cj5. I got the front half of the passenger floor pan replaced today so I am happy for that.A little bit at a time and it will get done into my over landing rig! It's hard for me to work on it for a long period because I am disabled but I don't let it stop me.

any pics? CJ5's and 7's are my favorite style jeep. the 5's are hard to beat with that short wheel base

nice! that thing is going to be a mountain goat on the trails! i dont know if you have a place already for parts, but here is a link to jc whitney who used to have a lot of parts for the 5's and 7's, not sure what they have now, but it might be a help.

post pics as you go, i don't get to see hardly any CJs anymore

It's a Jeep. Weld in panels for heavy rust, hit it with some spray paint and call it a day. If its too pretty it looses it's personality.

Today I made a back floor pan for my jeep. It's not perfect but it's going to work out for me.

Nice Jeep! I had a '69 CJ5 back in the '70s. Do you know if your hard top is a Meyers? I had a Meyers half cab and the front of yours appears to be the same. It had Meyers steel doors and a plow too.

[/QU yes it is a Meyers top. I have all of the doors for it so it is completely original.

Nice to have a complete full cab. My half cab was good for snow plowing but that was about it.
