My best friend, his girlfriend, my wife and I have planned a trip that will encompass the details below. The trip will take place May 5th-14th, 2018.
Day 1 - May 5th - Drive to Zion from South Bay Area CA
Day 2-3 - May 6 and 7 - Hiking in Zion and travel to Escalante/Capitol Reef
Day 4-6 - May 8-10 - Drive and camp the Rim Trail in Canyonlands
Day 7 -May 11 - Arches and Moab*
Day 8 - May 12 - Moab
Day 9 - May 13 - Monument Valley, horseshoe bend, or more Moab*
Day 10 - May 14 - Drive home, hit Vegas
Those with an * and tentative and we are willing to change. We will be using the app, ioverlander, to find campsite and other use full information. There will be a 2011 Toyota Tacoma long bed and a 2008 FJ Cruiser making the journey. All are welcome to join and any input is greatly welcomed. My friend and I have done trails in CA through hunting or small offroad trips but this is our first "vacation trip." We aren't new to bring stuck or in a bind but we aren't pros either.
