Hi All,

Recently I purchased an 04 Suzuki Jimny for my first proper 4WD overland vehicle. I use this as a daily at the moment but I do use two other cars. I instantly fell in love with the Jimny and couldn't wait to start modifying.

Not quite sure where to start but here we go.

This little Suzuki had quite a perky little M13A 1.3L DOHC 82bhp Petrol engine (I say had, because its no longer perky) and a proper 4WD system with 5 speed manual gearbox and a HI-LO transfer case with 2H (RWD), 4H and 4L.

The best thing about this particular Jimny was that i bought it late 2017 with only 29,000 miles on the clock and it has very little rust. Where I come from in the UK, rust is a big problem for any car but especially Jimny's which seem to lack in the underside corrosion protection of other vehicles.

The build so far consists of;
  • 4" Lift kit with heavy duty radius arms and adjustable pan hard rods;
  • Adjustable AVO shocks;
  • heavy duty springs;
  • Polyurethane bushes all round;
  • Rough Country steering damper;
  • JimnyBits roof rack;
  • WOW LED 180W front light bar with flood and spot;
  • WOW LED 2 x 24W rear flood lights;
  • Dual battery system with split charge;
  • 30 x 9.5 x 15" Malatesta Kobra M/T tyres;
  • 15" steel rims;
  • CRT ONE mini CB radio;
  • Custom factory size stainless steel exhaust;
  • JimnyBits Snorkel.
Future Mods;
  • M16A Liana engine (04-07) conversion;
  • Front and rear steel bumpers with spare wheel carrier;
  • Internal drawer type storage system;
  • ????

Hey guys! Just thought I'd share how I've mounted my new farm/Hi-lift Jack and traction mats.

I had an idea of using M10 metric fasteners in A2-70 stainless steel so they wouldn't rust. Basically M10 x 100mm bolts with nordlock washers so they can never loosed off. I then stuck some large OD washers on with a spring and wing nut. All I need now is to secure it somehow so it can't be stolen!

Here are some pics.

Happy adventures!20180302_151446.jpg20180302_151433.jpg20180302_145052.jpg20180302_145048.jpg20180302_145040.jpg20180302_145036.jpg20180302_142046.jpg20180302_142035.jpg20180302_141638.jpg20180302_141645.jpg
