I have been looking at some 6x12 single axle cargo trailers to make a camper out of. I will be living in it full time if everything works out right, pulled by my Suburban.
I am thinking of doing a spring over lift on it to help the offroadability of it. Just wondering if anyone has done...

I am tearing down my WWII Bantam trailer, and I am having a crazy time with the bolts that attach the leaf springs to the frame. Its the one with the grease zerk on it. Anyone know any tricks?
I've got an M101 A2 trailer that I'm looking to part ways with. I used it to move down from Oregon and was planning on building it out into a mobile workshop, but life has a funny way of changing direction. So now I'm just looking to get out of it what I paid earlier this year.
It's in great...
Figured I'd post up my build here and continue as I fine tune it and add on to it!
Started with a pile of metal / parts in the shop and got to it..
Got the top rack that the tent and awning will mount to in.. would prove to be a huge pain to get it dialed in and moving freely...
It's an M101-A1
I wired it up for 12V and added a CVT RTT. With some minor mods, it's basically stock. Lots of plans and ideas in the works, but funding for them don't come easy with 3 kids :yum:. BUT, she is a beast and have served my family well for over a year now!
Finally joined the #CVTFamily this week. Got the new CVT Trailer and the Mt Denali Roof Top Tent. Here's just a quick first look at the trailer.
So far, I love it! Very well-built. The price was for sure a bit steep as I looked around, but I realized it's well worth it. Quality is amazing...
Background: Why a trailer?
A few things contributed to my desire to have an enclosed off-road camping trailer.
First, I was sick and tired of dealing with a tent. I found out the hard way I'm not as young as I once was (ow, my back), I waste a lot of time setting and packing up my tent...
With the increase mileage on my JK and the lack of fuel economy, it was time to build a full overland trailer. You see, my JK is my daily driver and having the RTT on the rack does not help. I've been thinking of a complete rebuild on the current offroad trailer I had which followed me to Utah...
So I took delivery of my CVT trailer.
I picked it up on Saturday in Portland. Before bringing it home, I had to go pick some people up downtown and go to breakfast. I was pleased to find how easy it was to navigate around the downtown city streets.
I have plans for it, but with he...
Well, I found a good deal on a basic overland trailer from a fabrication guy in Calgary, and decided to take the leap. It was his demo model, and as his new generation of trailers is ready for release he was clearing this one out. It is an aluminum body on a metal frame, so it is very light...
I was in a very expensive motorcycle accident last month and I need to sell some big things to help pay for the ER bill. I wish I could hold on to this trailer but selling it would significantly help cover my expenses :(
One of my best purchases ever now could be yours! This badboy came into my...
I'm looking at getting a utility bed (small truck 68"x 90") that has already been made into a trailer, hopefully this weekend if it goes well. But I wanted to run some ideas through the OB community and get some feedback. I've spelled out some of them on the image below. One of my concerns...
Hey all,
New member here (#2904). Looks like a great resource.
For anyone who might want to weigh in, I am pulling a small off-road trailer I've built around White Rim in May. I've done this trip before by Mtn Bike and I remember the few hills that would be a significant challenge were I to be...
Have a lifted jeep jk rubicon unlimited. The trailer is custom built on a 5x8 trailer. I just finished before winter hit and had to take it into storage. The pics are right before I put it up. I forgot to paint rear wheel. Queen size bed inside with storage underneath. Grill in one side...
Forum noob here...
Anyone pulling something like this (e.g., a TurtleBack trailer or similar) with a Chevy Tracker?

Looks like it would be too heavy for the Tracker. Mine is a 2002, 4-door, 4wd. Rated for 1000 lbs...
I've been looking around and haven't seen a thread on bike racks. I personally have a Thule on the back of my rig, but I'd like it to be higher up so I don't bump it on rocks. So I was thinking about adding a 10" riser to my trailer hitch for more clearance.
Share your bike rack pictures here...
When you are taking a trailer off-road do you guys air down your trailer tires as well?
I've heard this can be detrimental as it will add to trailer sway back and forth.
I've got heavier duty trailer tires on my trailer so they have a nice stiff sidewall to prevent the side to side movement...
