Refilling 1lb tanks, who does it?

I switched to a bulk tank adapter for everything else, and generally have 2, 5 gallon tanks with me, so all I have to refill them for is my lantern. It allows me to be a little lazy.

    Electric powered overland vehicle

Sadly, every conceptual drawing really isn’t a Scout! I’ll stick with my vintage Scout 800, thanks.

    Basic Recovery Gear Setup

A come-a-long or a ratcheting strap winch are fairly inexpensive, albeit manual, winches.

Refilling 1lb tanks, who does it?

I just leave them connected to the 5 gallon overnight, cold or not they fill up.

    My new trailer

Please explain how your suspension is suspended, and how it is supposed to move. I see no spring or air bag. It looks locked into position.

    My new trailer

Using plastic tube clamps to hold on an axle seems irresponsible at best. I also can’t figure out what that double heim joint looking thing is for. It looks like it fixes the axle height, but then there would be no movement of the axle.

Ground Tent camping on overland trips

I have couple cAnvas wall tents, as most of the time we are there for a while. On shorter stays I have fast set up tent that came from Walmart. According to the diagram it sleeps like two battalions, but it is great for my wife or son and I . If fits a queen air bed with loads of room to spare...

    Water for extended travel

Bear Grills would likely save his urine. Personally, I would use that jug to just carry some extra water.

In the same vein, long term self sustained ICE travel is impossible as well. Nobody is saying that we can drive around using only the sun (unless you are kids at MIT, who are actually doing it) in an EV, just saying that overlanding in them is not impossible, and that extending their range may...

    12v Camp Lighting

Mr Bezos came by today and dropped these off. Removable transformer, though I don’t know what to call this connector, so I don’t know if I could ever get another one, so I may just cut the transformer side. Another thought, and I may just try it for a weekend, is running it off my inverter. I...

    Electric powered overland vehicle

Since the Rivian has come out and I have seen some being outfitted, I suspect it is only a matter of time before solutions start cropping up. I would imagine fold out solar pane arrays will be tried, as well as generators. Another thing I suspect will come to life are large battery packs to be...

    Thoughts on the Badlands winch

I have a 12k unit on my trailer. It works okay, the solenoid pack failed and I had to find a replacement. I wouldn’t use the wireless remote because it has a delay in it that I do not like.
