Atlas 46 KOH (King of the Hammers) bag for my vehicle tools.

Great timing. I've been trying to decide between the original and the KOH.

ENO (Eagles Nest Outfitters) Twilight Camp Lights

I have a set, and they're nice, but if I did it all over again, I'd use something that was USB-powered that I could plug into a rechargeable battery pack.

Bed wear what do you wear when camping

In the context you describe, getting dry is the key, though some of that is specific to the clothing/clothing system. If you're wearing cotton or old-school polypropylene layers, you may find that you've got to get out of the wet clothes ASAP. On the other hand, the Protective Combat Uniform...

    Ferro Concepts, TRUCKRUCK. Thoughts?

If it's built as well as everything else they make, it should be great. It's more than twice as much as a Trasharoo, and a little more than the Howling Moon trash bag, and I can't ignore that.

    Seat cover recommendations?

Wet Okole is sort of the standard.

    Custom roof rack

I need to learn how to weld.

Bed wear what do you wear when camping

Beanie hat/toque/watch cap. That'll make a pretty big difference in sleeping comfort if you're chilly. I sleep warm, so I can get by with gym shorts and a T shirt. For backpacking, you can carry a lighter bag and stretch the comfort range by wearing a puffy jacket and long johns, but for car...

    GPS - Wearables/Handhelds

For military use, the Foretrex 401 is still king. It's not exactly packed with features, but it's got pretty good battery life as a result. It'll tell you what you need to know in the shortest amount of time and you won't need a place to store it. For almost everything else I use offline maps...

    What Jacket do you wear?

I wear a Kuhl Kollusion jacket whenever a fully waterproof or insulated shell is unnecessary. I added more wax to mine to make it more water resistant. It's a great jacket when you want something less technical looking, but still very functional.

    What boots do members wear

No worries. I think I may have driven a manual with them on and don't recall any issues, but they're definitely not going to give very good pedal feedback compared to soft-soled shoes. If you require pedal feel, but still want over-the-ankle waterproof footwear, you might look into something...

    What boots do members wear

I really don't mean to be rude, but you guys read through the threads before posting right? On the top of page two is my post where I talk about my Danner Mountain Light II boots. They're great boots. A little on the heavy side when compared to more modern designs that utilize a glue-on sole...

    What boots do members wear

There's four pages, and Danner is mentioned on all four.

    What boots do members wear

If boots are necessary, than it's either the Salomon Quest 4D or the Danner Mountain Light II. The Salomons are lighter. The Danners look better and can double as casual shoes in town. I prefer trail runners or approach shoes to boots almost any day, or I'll split the difference and wear...

Where do you store your food, Is it safe to store it in the car?

I'd be more concerned with dry goods and any garbage from cooking than things that are sealed inside a fridge or cooler, but if you've got room inside the cab, why not?

Where do you store your food, Is it safe to store it in the car?

I store food in the vehicle, but I don't cook directly out of the back so I'm not too worried about the scents. I keep my key fob nearby when I go to sleep. My theory is that if an animal is curious about the vehicle, a sudden noise/light from it would discourage the animal. Probably less...

Single burner or two burner on the trail?

I use a Coleman two-burner combo stove/grill. I use only the stove 90% of the time, but I do occasionally toast things on the grill. I could get by with a single-burner stove, but what I've got seems like a reasonable size. If you're really strapped for space, maybe the Jetboil two-burner stove...

What is your Opinion? - BFG K02's or Duratracs

Love my KO2's. I was torn between them and the Cooper AT3, but went with BFG after hearing about some thin sidewall issues with the AT3 and driving someone else's KO2's in mud. I've had KO's previously and they turned into slicks in east coast mud, but the KO2 is a lot better.

    Hi-Lift Jack, shovel and axe

I'm building a similar kit with a Hardigg box, but I'm having second thoughts due to the overall weight of it on the roof. The empty box is 20#. If I store my Hi-Lift and recovery items in it the weight adds up quickly. Have you weighed yours when full?

RTIC Coolers. Free shipping. Half the price of Yeti

True. I'd only use the dry ice at the beginning of a trip when the cooler was empty. My regular grocery store always has it. After that, depending on the weather, I could go 4-5 days without having to get ice again. Realistically, my schedule hasn't allowed me to travel longer than that, but I...
