Broken leg, what to watch on YouTube/Amazon/Netflix

That's nuts. Sounds like you` handled that well. I would have been tempted to call her Truckasaurus.

I plan on being there tomorrow, so pull-off it is. Thank you.

What do you think is the better option for camping in the area, the USFS campground or the pull-off spots?

Broken leg, what to watch on YouTube/Amazon/Netflix

"The Grand Tour" on Amazon is good. It's the same guys from "Top Gear" (the British/good version) doing basically the same show. You have watched their "Top Gear" Bolivia special right? Not overland related, but personally, I'd watch the entire series of "Archer" again if I were in your shoes...

    Camp Table

That's pretty awesome that it makes a perfect shelf in your LR3.

    Camp Table

I hemmed and hawed about a nice table (K9, Snow Peak, etc.) to replace my roll-top, but in the end I spent $40 on a 2'x4' plastic folding table that fits nicely in the rig and is a solid surface when set up. I like that it's stored out of the dust and mud so it's clean enough to use right away...

First off, thanks for posting this. Second, how would you rate the roads on this route? 2WD? 4Hi? 4Lo & bring a friend?

Did you ever regret not buying a rig?

Saw a great deal on a 2nd Gen 4Runner a while back (almost 15 years ago). I was driving a Montero that was 10 years newer and couldn't justify either owning a third vehicle or giving up a newer vehicle for an older one. A year later, the Montero threw a rod and the repair estimate was almost...

    FCC Part 97

More likely fined, not jailed. Truck-to-truck, on $30 Baofeng radios, on low power, out in the boonies, probably not going to get caught. But then the license is $15, so why not get legal?

    JEEP VS TOYOTA

Overall reliability would be my number one deciding factor. That's everything on the vehicle. Engine, diffs, tranny, A/C, power windows, etc. Which one will require the least amount of time and money to get to a point where everything just works and you're not worried about it? Number two...

    JEEP VS TOYOTA

My reading comprehension failed me and I didn't realize it was an XJ. That makes it a harder choice. If the XJ has the 4.0 I6, and it's seven years newer than the 4Runner, I might lean toward the XJ. I had a Cherokee leave me stranded before, but that was with the 2.8L V6.

    JEEP VS TOYOTA

4Runner, if you're going to live out of it. It's going to feel (be) under-powered once you load it up, but it'll get you there. Keep it as stock as possible and you'll retain the reliability that Toyota is known for worldwide. You may have some rust issues with that vintage, but you may be able...

    Garmin glo opinions?

I've never messed with an external GPS source with an Android, but I'm sure there's a way.

    Garmin glo opinions?

Might be that his phone/tablet doesn't pick up a good signal where it's mounted and/or to save battery life. The external puck can go in the windshield where it'll get the best signal.

    Garmin glo opinions?

Is it like Bad Elf, but for Android?
