This past weekend, installed my new-to-me Wilco Hitchgate Solo Hi-Clearance, added the Front Runner fold-down table, and relocated the backup camera. The camera location isn't the best but it's all I could come up with for now. I have a 1 gallon water Rotopax on it's way to me which will go...
In the last week or so, got a Baja Rack via the group buy on T4R.org and installed my ham radio.
Not sure what's next. Maybe a C4 braket and 10" LED for the hood scoop.
Me too. And they're all from dev.overlandbound.com . . . so I wonder if it's some sort of testing for forum migration or similar. Glad I'm not the only one receiving these.
Last purchase was this voltmeter and dual-USB port that I put in the hole where the cigarette lighter used to be:
Next purchase will probably be a ham radio.
So it turns out we have termite damage on our patio cover and need to have the certificate by Tuesday to close, so I'll be repairing our patio cover Saturday instead of having fun at the beach. :rage:
Correct, the Sports are fine for daily driving. One of the Baja Designs employees has them on his 4th Gen and has been running them for a long with no issues. I have the Pros, even on a bright day they're too bright to run on the street. (They are great for waking up clueless people on their...
When we went down, there were two parts where we lifted back wheel. No big deal, but could surprise the uninitiated.
This rock garden? If that's the case, that's bummer as this was a really fun part.
Yeah. We got to the top and there was a HUGE group (15 + rigs) ahead of us. They all stopped at the bottom for a group photo and we realized that if we didn't get ahead of them we were screwed for the rest of the trail. So I just had to go for it with no real preview and the only advice was...
I've been to all of those places. None of them require anything beyond the clearance of a 4Runner on almost stock tires with a slight lift. There are certainly areas you can go which require more, but the basic roads are easily traveled in a stock 4WD 4Runner. The only technical part I found...
Just found this thread. Will have to check in regularly and meet up with everyone. I've done a bit of Anza and Big Bear and am looking forward to more.
Finally got around to mounting mine up. I used a square ball mount attached to the dash trim piece with a cut piece of abs attached to the back for added support. It's incredibly solid and the tablet hardly moves at all, even going over washboards! Since installing it, I have painted the bolt...
Just got Bilstein 6112's and SPC Racing UCA's on Black Friday special. Took the rig out to Anza Borrego last weekend to try them out, they're a HUGE improvement over my 5100's.
Next up, I hope to find a used Wilco tire carrier.
