    Powering Electric Cooler- Questions

We are headed down to TX in June for 10 days camping at Big Bend and Guadalupe. I currently have 100W portable solar panel and a Rockpals 300w battery. Before I go off and buy an electric cooler, I had some concerns about the heat and how we are going to maintain power on the trip. For those who...

    Working on the road- Hotspot

To all of you who work while out on the road, what do you look for in a good hotspot? We are planning on heading out to CO and WY this summer and will need to do some work remotely. We have never owned a hotspot, and not sure if there are certain things we should look for when picking one. We...

Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton trip planning

This is the one we have done a few times. Check out this video on this link and it gives you a good idea of the view. It was pretty windy in our tent...but so worth the view. https://www.campendium.com/nomad-view

    Electric Coolers

Thanks for all the recommendations. Makes me realize how many coolers there are out there. I would love one that could stay cool while it is unplugged for a day or so. I appreciate all the help.

Looking at pictures, can I set the whole thing just to be a fridge and not use it as a freezer?

    Electric Coolers

After searching through some old threads here for information, I have some questions for those who have electric coolers. I am looking to buy something in the 40-50L range in regard to space and freezing things isn't a big deal to me. I would like to own this for awhile so reliability will be...

    Overlanding with a large family

Thanks for taking the time to show me that. I am impressed with the space behind the 3rd row...more than I thought. We have 4...so if we need the extra storage we could split the seats down and travel like you do. For under 40K I can get a nice one that has low miles...so maybe I will start...

    Overlanding with a large family

I was looking into used for more around our price range and I have a few questions for you. 1. With the 3rd row seats set up...what all can you fit behind them? Do you have any pictures of your gear loaded in? Is it s 60/40 split? 2. If I don't get a TRD Pro...what sort of off-roading...

Overlanding with a family of 6

We have 2 tents that we would set up. With the kids and their ages, we would be going out from Spring to Mid Fall here in IN (So mid to late October).

That looks amazing....truly jealous. We would never be able to afford it, but if we could, it would probably be my pick. Have fun with that!

Look at the Sequoia I cant help but think of the Armada. I definitely like the Armada styling better. Anyone have an Armada that they use?

What trim did you buy? A new one would be nice for us, but a used one may be an option. We are doing a hitch carrier and roof box for our Atlas. But it cant tow as much as yours, that is for sure.

Double digits is a big win when you are coming from a wagon like that! When you bought it, how many miles did it have on it?

    Overlanding with a large family

What year was the one you bought? I know there are a few generations out there, but was wondering what sort of mileage you were looking at that constituted the 11K price. Really good point about gas prices, I have never thought of that as a good time to buy.

Thanks. I was thinking that would be my first buy....all terrain tires. Not sure I can convince the wife...but that is another post all together! My hope is to just get out there this summer and see what I like about the Atlas vs dislike and use that to make a good decision once it is my turn to...

We like the Suburban, but its price point gets in the way. I dont think we will do major offloading, but its size....at least for comfort and space is a big plus for us.

This is a great post, I appreciate all of the info. We really do love the Atlas, so we will see how it goes this summer. The Armada was one we liked, but the mpg was something that caused us some worry. Ultimately, if the answer was easy, everyone would have the same rig. The RAM comparison...

Help me with my next purchase, please! Fridge/Freezer or Lights and awning?

I was looking at these as well. Do you just use your 12v? I worry about draining my battery with continuous use.

    Overlanding with a large family

I have tried to search on here to see if there any posts dealing with this topic and couldn't find anything. We are a family of 6 who recently purchased a 2021 AW Atlas. We didn't really buy it for the purpose of kitting it out with lots of new add ons as it my wife's daily driver. We are...
