    Resolved Advocate 1

Hello, Just making sure I'm understanding correctly. I think I should be awarded Advocate 1 since I responded to several Q&A posts in the app, some older some newer. Are there any other qualifications for the trophy? Thank you.

    2024 RESOLUTIONS???

Made a promise to get outside for day trips / weekend trips more often. We got to focused on long distance trips in 2023 and only really got outside a handful of times. Going to make an effort to get back into hiking, overnight camps, photography, or just plain drive somewhere new.

    Camp coffee!

We've used a french press in the past. This last trip we switched to Stanley's pour over system, since it sits right on top of our yeti mugs. First cup was really bad, then we read the instructions. It got much better after that lol. Stumptown pre-ground coffee for us. I think it's ground a bit...

What is the best piece of advice you can give a new overlander?

Spend money on fuel, tires and recovery gear first. Upgrade your vehicle as your skill and desire to roam grows. Second tip, keep an eye on craigslist and marketplace to buy stuff used. A lot of people buy brand new overlanding gear, camp for three nights, hate it and sell it. Take advantage of...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Just bought and installed this Tyger T1 soft tonneau cover from Amazon. It was cheap enough to try since I needed to keep my gear dry in the bed, while still using the Billie Bars to hold up my RTT. I'm headed to the northern California coast to see the redwood trees next week, should be some...
