    Tire recommendations

Swore by BFG KO2s on multiple vehicles for years, including my JK. Switched last year to Falken Wildpeak AT3W on the JK, not whisper quiet but quiet enough, and have met my daily driver plus off road demands, including wet and snow/ice. Rocky Pennsylvania forest roads, but no extreme...

    Black series overland trailers

Out of curiosity, as I'm always planning for future changes/upgrades - Why the trade from NOBO 19.2 to HQ 19?

2006 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4wd SLT - "Rumble"

Thanks for sharing the build in progress! Loved my 95 Dakota. Never built it out because I was at sea, workups and deployment, most of the time. Then parted with it because a carseat in the extended cab without back doors sucked. Have fun with yours!

    Why Ham over GMRS?

"There can only be one" was a different storyline. These two have different usages, with some (minimal) overlap. As many others do, I have both. Options are good to have.

Poll: When you camp, do you normally have cell service?

My intent of getting away from the concrete jungle includes disconnecting and resetting. Many places I go have no service and others I intentionally use airplane mode. I don't leave electronics behind, as I often download and read books/magazines while hanging out in camp. Yes, having service...

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

Got them! The local shop happened to have a set of the right size AT3's that were barely used, not even all the nubs wore off. So I grabbed them for a good deal. Bring on winter! And, of course, spring wheeling...

Welcome! Quite the evolution of camping in the car -> overlanding. I did similar starting with an 80s Toyota Tercel SR5 wagon. Continue to have fun!

Welcome! One thing I loved about being in the military is being able to move around every few years. In my case from coast to coast and exploring the country in between. I hope to get back to it when I retire, this desk ball and chain sucks a bit. Enjoy!
