The old Ferd was getting long in the tooth and the high mileage issues were starting to stack up(driver window regulator gear was stripping out, sunroof non functional, passenger front wheel hub assembly going, interior trim starting to crack, 160k on the clock...) So, knowing the impending high...
If that’s the case, look at Total Chaos UCA’s, LCA’s, cam tab kit, King ext travel coilovers with reservoirs, BAMF rear shock mount kit, King 2.0 Smoothie w/ reservoir shocks, Deaver J66 rear leaf springs and a good set of 33’s and that truck will do more than you are willing!
The upside to a vinyl wrap is its ability to be removed quickly to change the look of your vehicle often. It also protects from scratches.
The downside is that it can be costly to have it “installed”. If you leave it on too long the adhesive can potentially damage your factory paint.
I had...
I have "several" (probably over a dozen by now) lanterns of all different styles and fuel types; butane, propane, diesel, kerosene, nicad battery, lithium ion, solar and magneto... And I don't use any of them. I just use the lighting that's integrated into my truck now. Its much simpler and...
If your plans don't involve challenging Offroad terrain and you stick to mainly forest service roads and the like, that lift is probably just fine. Especially if you daily drive it. With that said, drop bracket/spacer lifts aren't the "proper" way to lift the vehicle. Your truck has very capable...
I figure I should probably update mine here. I have a few now. One for personal life, one for the truck, one for personal hobby that is not truck/offroad related and one for one of two small businesses I run.

I should be in attendance if this event still happens. I will be there supporting a Bay Area local business(actually two businesses) and I’m sure I’d have some time to donate. Should I send you a private message?

I really need to reengage and get my butt back to these meetups. I don’t use Facebook and the app doesn’t seem to work anymore for me. I guess I need to figure out how to set up notifications here on web based forum.
I’d be interested in a Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore area meetup. I had a lot of fun at the last one I went to. Great folks and lots of interesting ideas on the ways people put together their adventure vehicles.
There are many different shops in the Bay Area to take your Explorer in for upgrades. If I recall correctly SWAT Customs is fairly near Union City and they have a good reputation. There is also Shaffer’s Off-road in Alameda. Good luck.
Also, another clarification: the pelfyre sale is at the Benicia BAMF location here in NorCal. I think the address is 510 Stone rd. But you can google to make sure.
I am not sure if many of yous lot are familiar with the Pelfrybilt saga or what has transpired since they filed for Bankruptcy. But, Bay Area Metal Fab has acquired their inventory through auction and are now liquidating the inventory. This coming Saturday they are having a fire sale. Mostly...
Thank you for your input. However, I’d rather not deal with all that.
Think of it this way. I am selling a brand new item, that has never been opened. It is expected for me to sell it cheaper than I purchased it for. Then, it is also expected of me to somehow make it cheaper and more...
