This weekend I joined some folks to go up to Spider Lake Trails here in MN. This shot is after backing up the hill I just got down to provide additional straps and shackles as they winch up someone having difficulties.

Nice and quiet. They do not have a loud roar at highway speeds 55-60mph. Have yet to go 70mph+ with them.

First time I am running them, my previous set were Terra Grappler G2s. Unfortunately I have only taken them home and to work since putting them on yesterday morning. The morning snow had already been cleared/melted by the time I was rolling out of the shop.

Oil change and new tires. Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70r17 this time around.

From this past summer up in Northern MN on some logging roads about 25 miles as the crow flies from Canada.

Actually did this in the wee hours of yesterday, but replace the LED headlights as one of the heaters stopped working while under warranty. Was just in time before the snow storm rolled through yesterday.

Now that a lot of the state has a little snow happening finally. Anyone want to do an early snow run somewhere?

Wiring is slightly cleaner since this mid install pic, but not tons. This positioning has worked well for me so far.

I have a MSR Pocket Rocket as a portable and an old (nowhere near as old and used as many on this site) Coleman propane stove. They have served my needs so far.

On my person I typically have a small buck folding knife I got ages ago. In my bag it’s usually my Swiss Army knife.
