Even a properly setup CB pales in usability and range to an entry level mobile 2M, particularly when you start considering the many features CB lacks such as APRS, digital modes and repeaters... all functions we use heavily @ XOverland. I grew up playing with CB’s, but I can’t imagine investing...
We've always got more on the horizon :D
Right now the XO production team is going full speed on the Expeditions7 Greenland Crossing footage. We'll kick back off on trips here soon!
VR10S is the current model. Interference can occurs when the winch control box is bumper mounted, we generally remote mount within the bumper shell or under hood on those models. I don't have the radar cruise, front camera, etc on my 200 so it's a non-issue. Give us a call if we can help with...
I've driven from the US to our neighboring nations. We've shipped vehicles to various countries and I've done the fly and drive option. For example this last week we flew to Peru, rented a Toyota Fortuner at the airport and chased the Dakar Race across across the sand dunes, etc. There is no...
Thanks for participating in the Tread Lightly! program. I would urge all of you to seek out a TL trainer in your local and setup a Tread Awareness class. Invite your area OB members and get involved in additional training.
Suspension update. Still love it!
My BP-51 is one of the oldest installs to date, over 3 years old now, lots of flogging and still comfortable and compliant. I did add some trim spacers front and rear and a larger set of General X3's right before departing for the B1K. My loads have changed, I...
We also do this pretty well :D
Tacos! We've been hitting this taco join religiously for about a decade
The Fauxverlander aka Chase 3 getting work done as Nakaya and I get in the race 200
Catching up on this thread
Not my 200 (which makes it funner to push hard right?) but @sleeoffroad, Ben from Slee and I joined ARB and a handful of their tech/sales staff for a new product training and demo day. Ironically I think Christo and I have the first two BP-51's setups in the US (I...
That was me on the TFL episode in which we discussed Land Cruisers and specifically the XOverland 200. As you might have seen I'm a big fan of the 200, my personal build is here: https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/project-fauxverlander-200-series-land-cruiser-build-thread.4810/

Well, then I say drive to the bottom. Make sure you rent a car that will allow international borders and ideally a one-way drive. Fly into BA or further south. Drive and camp along the Carratera Austral and make your way to Ushuaia.
Where in Argentina will you be? It's a big country... for example I'm going to suggest Ushuaia. It's a bucket list place, the end of the PanAmerican Highway and the start or finish of many historic and more recent expeditions and trips. However if you're in Buenos Aires for some time, Ushuaia...
Update: Our group departed Baja today. Border times ranged from 15 minutes to 2 hours at various borders (San Ysidro, Tecare and Calexico West due to different destinations in US), no noticeable time difference from the last 7-8 years. Great camping, great tacos and a great race.
