Had a group of 3 but one had to bail due to work. Looking for at least one more for our little trip. I procrastinated on White Rim so I got a beginning camp site and an end site.
Got room for 1 for a Moab trip.
Our itinerary:
9/5 - arrive in Moab
9/6 - free day
9/7 - Elephant Hill
9/8 - Poison...
A lot of good information here, thanks all for taking the time to respond. I ended up buying an iPad mini with cellular and returning the Garmin. I will investigate good satellite communicators and probably pick something up later this or early next year. So far, the GPS has been really great on...
The AWD is pretty good. If they got rid of the CVT and put a regular transmission in it with a low ratio, it would be AWESOME at everything. They need to either use a real transmission or treat the CVT as a CVT and stop trying to make people think it's a real transmission with "shift points"...
I'm closing this now as we currently have 8 rigs who want to come and our permits only allow for 6 rigs. @Akicita (I don't know if tagging you works) I got your PM and I'm working it out, I'll get back to you before this weekend.
Awesome thank you! A lot of good info from you guys. It’s like a puzzle now, I just need to put the pieces together to complete our full picture. I just may reach out further, thank you for the offer!
Awesome thank you!! This will help build the itinerary. Was planning on going through Moab then down into AZ then East to NM so this could very well work out to see some of these great places and I appreciate the hiking recommendations!!
There are three Jeep badge trails we’re going to hit between Phoenix and Flagstaff. One is Schnebly Hill in Sedona, so we’ll definitely be in that area. The other two are in Mountain Springs and New River. Right now I’m thinking three nights South of the Flagstaff area to hit those trails and do...
Hello Arizona folks!
My wife, dog and I are considering a trip of some sorts from Northern Colorado to Arizona. We've never been to Arizona so let's go visit and explore! Things I've found that I think are a must do are Antelope Canyon and Grand Canyon. We're absolutely open to disbursed...
Gotcha sir!! There are now 5 of us, 4 (including me) from my other forum and then you as well. We have room for 1 more. I have 2 maybe's on the other forum as well. I'm going to send you a private message for some further details of our discussion.
I'm going to put my Subaru in here too, even though I sold it. It will always hace a special place in my heart.

Planning a 6 day trip to The Maze District in Canyonlands National Park. This is a very remote section of the park where they recommend not relying on GPS, bring a map. We're planning to be there for the new moon in June which is on June 17. There is a maximum of 3 vehicles per camp site and we...
I gave up, apparently I'm too stupid to get it to work. Neither Garmin nor Apple were any help and said it wasn't supported so.... I ended up with the Mini 6 cellular as well and it's nice having just one device. However, I really wanted the inReach for satellite communicator, killing two birds...
Pole Mountain area and Crystal Lake road were talked about. Pole Mountain area has all green trails per trailsoffroad.com and Crystal Lake Road is just a dirt road. I think we'll all be pretty good. With green, the only thing you'll be rubbing on is the top of snow. As long as you stay in the...
10 of 10 RSVP'd, can I just go to the meet point and follow the line of rigs around all day and say I'm not in the group? Switched an on-call week so I'm now free this weekend.
