    The worst part of adventure

Yeah, for me, packing up is the worst part. Hate it. I drastically reduced what I bring to camp. Its even worse when the sun is beaming down ok you.

We’re starting up a YouTube channel!

That's awesome! I wanted to start a channel as well, but got no one to help.

    Do you remember when?

My camping started as an infant. My parents took us camping at early ages, before 1 year of age. I started camping on my own in my mid 20s, basic stuff out of a 89 toyota corolla.

Tools you love, cant live without!

My watch is something I always brings. Nice knowing the time in early mornings.

I built my dream machine home on wheels

Mine is not built up fully yet, I'm not sure about the direction, but I think I'm going with a weekend type rig, since I do work full time and rarely able to get lengthy time off. So far, it's more fitted to be an offroader, so giant tires and excellent suspension. I do have a 120w solar panel...

    I like Spam, but...

Recently smoked the spam. Not from a pipe lol. Cut into the spam, but not all the way. Season with paprika, sugar, garlic/onion powder. Smoke at 225 for an hour or two (depends on how crispy you want). My wife asks for it all the time.

    Meet Up

A bit far from me. If you're ever in the socal area, let me know. Tons of trails here.

I built my dream machine home on wheels

Very cool build! Building my rig is one of the most joy I've felt in a long time. Most of my lights are morimoto, except head lights.

How do you fund your expeditions?

    I cut fish carcasses.

What Hobby Gear Do You Wish You Brought, or Had Capacity to Bring?

My hobbies are a bit more geeky. I collect knives, flashlights, and watches, among other gadgets. I do bring them to camp, as they are useful. I do hike, so I just need to being decent shoes and a bag. Probably will bring my air rifle soon, as it's not a firearm. Plus, there's lots of legal...

    Bye Felicia

Depends on the price of fuel... I'm paying 4.79 on a gallon of diesel. 19-22 mpg, it adds up quick! To get to a location about 2 hours away, I'm spending about $70 for the trip on fuel alone. My last big trip, was about a 8 hour drive, 4 days. I spent about $700 on fuel getting there and...

    Bye Felicia

I also dislike that during covid, so many people started going out camping in areas they shouldn't, making new paths where they shouldn't, leaving trash, and having trails or sections closed off as a result. Also a lot of good roads got washboarded to hell. If they followed the rules like the...

    Bye Felicia

My shovel is mounted to the roll bar in the back. Always there, no one has to see it.

    Bye Felicia

I think overland fashion will die out, not actual camping. Driving to work with shovel, traction boards, etc is just embarrassing folks.

    Best electric cooler

Really like my alpicools. Got 3 of them. Two 35s ans a 55 quart. They all have LG compressors, Bluetooth app, and work really well and do not draw a ton of energy. The 35q lives in my jeep full time, 365 days a year. The smaller side is on 0° and larger side is 35°. My 1024wh battery is...

    Financing My First Rig

I'd kill for those APR... My surgeries tanked my credit score. So my last vehicle i paid 50% down payment.

    Awesome tire deflator

Just got this in today and tested it out. Why didn't they make this from the beginning?? It clamps on instead of having to be screwed on, which was super annoying when freezing outside.

    Solar panel

I don't have 2 fridges, just alpicool 35 or a 55 quart depending on how long I'm camping. My 120w panel keeps my 1000wh battery topped off as long as it's sunny. I can go indefinitely with this setup. If I were to want to run 2 fridges, I'd bring an extra set of solar panels, like my 220w...
