My status? Rig is down! Having some trans issues and not ready for a breakdown 4-5 hrs from home. Really hating not being able to get out as the fall approaches!
I THINK I'd love to do a few solo trips when I finally venture out. Just me and the dogs. But I worry seriously about a breakdown in the middle of nowhere in my 2009 H3. I am trying to secure enough recovery gear and upgrades/ fixes to make solo travel less of a worry to me.
Kinston NC here. Haven't had the chance to do a lot of the trips I want to pursue. Explored the OBX and that's really about it. Driving a 2009 Hummer H3. Hope to get out west soon!
Out of all the various vehicles driven when Overlanding, what is the first broken vehicle part broken? Is there a common part? Are there certain parts you should bring spares of?
Greetings! I'm new to Overlanding and to the OB group as well. I can say that it seems to be a great group! Well organized, lots of info given and very friendly.
Being ex- military and a former state correction officer I agree with your premise. I tell friends that having a weapon and not proficient with it could put you in a more dangerous situation. And not knowing when you are allowed to use it will put YOU in jail!
