Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
@Kent R I’m sure you’ll send the details. I recall that Piute Corral is at 35.10394, -115.01249 ?
Any news if that trail by Piute is still washed out?
Planning the quickest route to get to Thursday night camp .. right now I’m thinking Lanfair Rd.
Stephen, it sounds like steep uneven, off camber, loose ground terrain. We can use your inputs/wisdom, but please be careful. I recovered from Achilles on both ankles and I know how painful it is and how long it takes to recover.
What was your route? Any road conditions to be aware of? Latest Satellite images looks like snow has cleared from the passes, plus there is triple digits temps these couple of days.
I'm planning to get out there 4/9-16. Thinking of starting from Trona, Mengel Pass, Badwater Basin, then to Saline...
Kent, add me to the waitlist for the next date. I was about to message you about going, but just saw the cancellation. It’s our 10th wedding anniversary and my wife’s bday weekend so we were looking to get away and go on an adventure :)
I'm planning to go up Swansea to Cerro Gordo to Father Crowley in a couple of weeks. Was the Tundra stuck in snow or just broken down? I'm sure (by now) it should have been recovered.
