I have a similar set up with Front Runner RTT tent on top of their rack mounted to Diamondback...when I bring my T3X I slide it sideways against the back glass of my Ranger pickup...no straps needed...

I use a 45# magnetic mount under my steering column for the 9...the 300 ACC pistol is in the back if I need a small canon :innocent:

I use the one that is velcro'd to the tent as well as a heavy mil tarp underneath to protect against puncture...

My experience is that...it's great for one person with a cot, fold up table/chair...and what ever else you can stick under the cot/table...large net storage on several sides and an overhead loft...it is roughly the width of my pickup bed crosswise so I carry it on top of my bed cover against the...

Got mine yesterday...love it...it's a darker green and maybe match my other Gazelle screen tent...and it fit cross wise on top of my bed perfectly...nice!

Beautiful build...I'm inspired to do the same...

I have mid size pickup and plan on placing the T3X cross wise on the bed against the rear glass...the T4 would be too long for this placement...

Just ordered mine through OB...How long did it take to get to you?

I ran a grounding cable to the bottom of the CB mount stud (under the hood to the steel ditch bracket) straight to negative pole on battery...I avoided magnetic mount to due potential paint wear...
