Well here is a bit of an update. I haven’t added any modifications to the trailer lately. I did purchase a Tuff Stuff Elite model RTT for the trailer. I was looking for a little more sleeping space for the family so the tent was a great option. We went out camping this past weekend and...
I just bought one of their RTTs and it’s seems like a quality piece for the 24 hours I have owned it so far. Looking forward to putting it to ise

Yes they renamed all their models and the link you posted in the same trailer I have.
I’m not sure what my gross weight is loaded, I’ve never weighted it, but the unloaded weight is around 1400lbs. If I had to take a guess I would say my loaded weight is around 2000lbs. They are a very well...
Here’s a bit of an update on the trailer.
We have used it a handful of times and we are enjoying it a lot. There is a few things we would like to do in the near future though. We want to install a 200w solar system with a bigger battery, some more storage on the exterior, and we also are...
We picked up our trailer today! Towed home great and the Tundra didn't even know it was back there!
It fits great in the garage too.
She also gave it the stamp of approval... she has been in it since we parked it this afternoon [emoji1]
How do you like the trailer so far? Have you had any issues? We picked ours up today and are planning a trip for somewhere along the bay over the 4th of July!
Well, the wife and I were looking into purchasing a travel trailer in the 16 foot range. After we looked at a few we decided they were to big and with more amenities then we really wanted. So the search for a teardrop or expedition trailer began. After doing a few searches we realized 75% of...
I have the 10 man version as well and I like it for what it is but the one thing I didn't like was how loose and sunk in the tops is the door areas are. Makes the "hinged" door really saggy. That's really my only complaint besides trying to package it back up. Oh and the oversized bag they...
Yeah my Tundra has soft springs as well for what I'm used to and like. I wouldn't mind if the truck rode a little stiffer anyway. Thanks for your input!
Does anyone here have any experience with Hellwig load and sway control products?

I am looking into getting their overload leaf for the rear of my Tundra to help with towing and the weight of my cap and camping gear...
These trucks are tough and will last a long time if maintained. I have had my 04 for a year and a half now. From my searching and gathering, the main thing to keep up on is to change the timing belt every 90k-100k miles and always keep an eye on your lower ball joints. Also, these trucks had...
That is a great looking truck!
Welcome to OB. Where are you located in VA? I'm in Portsmouth, VA.
What are some specs on your rig?
I saw your post over there. Looked like a great rig.
Yeah I'm kinda in the same boat as you. My Truck, like many others here, is my daily driver so I need to keep it very roadworthy. But the temptation to modify is so strong haha.
Do you have any pictures of your Tundra?
Nice truck! I love the white! I'm glad there are some fellow Tundra owners on here. I think the Tundra is often overlooked as an overland rig. Keep posting pictures of your build!
