Of course! Here's some places we were at in Winthrop recently:

I don't frequent OB as much these days, but got a notification about this event due to my proximity. I would be down to join one of the legs of the WABDR (been eyeing 3-4) at one point. How frequently do folks put these together here?
Looks amazing! I didn't find that on my searches and ended up with the ironman4x4 awning and room combo. I also added the disconnects and poles to make it freestanding if needed. I'll see how it does, may go back to my hunt for a batwing like yours.
I'm doing some research on what types of awning rooms are out there, and was wondering if there are any fully enclosed 180 batwing awnings?
This would be like the standard ARB awning/room but for a batwing.
I would think that deploying the batwing would make setup/takedown faster along with...
Good to hear about Toyo's. I'll give them a look. Funny you mention Michelin LTX as that is what I have on now which came with the 4runner. Decent for everything I have put at them dd wise.
One thing to add, if you are going dual battery this way, ideally you want to have the same battery at the same age. I'm assuming AGM in this scenario, but mixing battery types and condition can cause earlier failures when combining via basic relay. An alternative is at least a smarter ACR which...
Hello all,
What are some good tires these days when looking at mix of daily driver, snow, light off-road (gravel roads, dispersed camping areas, and a trip through the WA BDR next year)?
I'm looking to keep the stock tire size, and my normal go to would be 265/65/17 BFG KO2's load C and call...
I really like your routing out the side. Next version I'll just do that with a 90 and permanently glue the base in. My original thought was serviceability if the hose disconnects, but naw way cleaner.
Adding my contribution to the thread.
Goals: To come in cheaper than the dometic go faucet and address some of the shortcomings I saw.
My setup:
Pros:
Much cheaper than $170+ for dometic faucet and jug.
Allows redundancy if pump fails (ie I just use the normal spout)
Longer hose (I did 7.5...
I'm the tinkerer type along with having a toddler going out with us. So this kind of thing is great to me. With a kiddo, convenience is the key. Where I usually draw the line is when a ready made product is not much more $$ than what I am putting together along with the time.
Lots of us like...
Ha! Doing the same thing with the same facet from Amazon. Plan right now is a 3/4 plywood plate on the bottom (4 black screws though the side to secure and removable if needed) with a magnet. There is that little shelf on the inside lip I think will hold it well. I'll post up once I get to it...
AMC eagle would be pretty sweet with a 4.0 swapped in.
The 460 is great but still really expensive. With the popularity of the 470, I'm thinking it will stay that way.
No more diamonds in the rough like the 470? Has to be something that was rebadged or looked over like how the 470 was.
Hello all,
What do you think will be the next hidden capable off-road/overland vehicle? To me the GX was a perfect example of this in NA under the Lexus name. Well untill everyone found out and now the prices are insane.
What I think about:
Capable off-road
Reliable
Good price used
*Bonus...
Nice! That one was on my short list as well. It was just to wide and long for my rig.
Another option I saw which is new for this year is the Exped deep sleep 7.5, which is thinner and solid foam. It packs the same size as the 10 though.
I actually got one of those "tri-fold" foam 4" mattresses off of Amazon last summer and it wasn't that comfortable. It also took up half of my cargo volume when stowed away (mine is a DD). I found a good deal on an Exped Megamat 10 (72*40.9) this morning on Campman.com (257) and just pulled the...
Hello all,
I've been researching mats for a while and getting overloaded on what's out there. looking for recommendations. I like the Exped Megamat 10 Duo for everything except for price and packed size. Any better options out there?
Looking at a dual sized pad about 72x41
