Hello from Space City! We'll be heading out to Hords Creek Lake next week for a weekend. A little getaway to start off our camping season. Like what Downs said, not much overlanding here.
I have their Off Axis trailer and I love it. Great people. I paid them a visit at their shop in Utah and they were currently building one. Looks a awesome.
I was able to find a decent locking pin with an extended length on Amazon for the trailer side pin hole. The pin is 1/2" in diameter but I'm unsure of the length. However, it's just a tad bit longer than the pin it came with.
With mine, I just leave it attached to the receiver. I have locking pins on both holes. The thieves won't be able to put it in their hitch receiver with the hitch pin in the way. But again, like most folks say, it they want it, they'll take it.
Hey Tim, I tried the emergency procedure thing and there was no click. Now I'm really starting to believe it's the relay. I haven't measured the voltage on the output of the relay, but I'm curious now, and I'll definitely check it out when I get home. No fuses installed at this point. The...
Hi Tim and thanks for your input. It's installed on a 2016 4Runner. I tested the main battery while it was running and I was getting a constant 13.8 volts, so I assume it's charging the battery.
This is the manual -...
Thanks for the reply Jack. The negatives are directly connected to each other. My drive to work is about 15 minutes, and not once did the monitor show any charge (to the aux) and just threw an alarm and a flashing light at me. My cables are as short as possible and terminated well, I'm assuming...
Yesterday I installed an IBS Dual Battery system in rig. The only issue that it's having is that it's not charging the aux battery. It does link both batteries when I start the engine (link light on), and un-links when it's off. But it will not throw a charge to the aux. I tested the relay with...
I agree. There wasn't much out there when I owned my 09 Urban Runner at the time. It's a great rig though. I love my 5th gen TEP as well. I wish they had a V8 option like the 4th gen because I tow. Overall I love 4R's!!
Wow, simply amazing. The transformation from when you first got it till now is crazy. Great job man. Are you going to keep the current coupler or upgrade to an articulating trailer hitch?
I'm loving the rig and trailer man. May I ask what tent/shelter are you using during that RTT rally in the second and third pic. I need something like that. Thank you.
I was looking at the Moab Fort as well, but not the XL. If you have an RTT, that would be a good money saver right there, and perhaps use that money saved to buy additional parts/accessories for the trailer. I was told by them if you have an annex, or plan to add one later, you would have to get...
