it's just a 02 toyota camry. nothing special. I did recently purchase a 2014 dodge ram. so I'm a bit more prepared to begin the overland / offroad journey. we just gotta get a Nebraska meetup going.
While the 1984 Jeep J10 gets built, I have upgraded my Toyota Camry to a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500. Gives me a bit more room, chances to go offroad/overland a little bit more. Exciting times ahead.
Planning on finding a wagoneer at some point soon. Got my J10 which is nice, but the extra seating and inside the storage is nice on the wagoneers. Love seeing other FSJ owners out there. Especially ones that are still going on adventures with them. Hope to build one like this. With or without...
I was thinking this would be fun. But just got out of the hospital. So I'm having to work double time to make up some hours and pay the Bill's. My overlanding trips this year may be cut off for a while. That's life I guess.
Something I've always thought would be fun to do would be getting a group of overlanders and just travel the state. Pick a highway and go end to end. Like highway 30, or Highway 6. or even make a loop around Nebraska. I know it wouldn't be as scenic as some of the mountain areas folks seem to...
I have the opposite problem. I'm a single dad, so my budget is pretty tight at the moment. Not a lot of room to go to other areas of the country. I started working on a travel blog, podcast, and hopefully a book, about traveling around Nebraska. My hopes is to start generating a bit of extra...
Greetings from Lincoln Nebraska.
I'm fairly new to the overlanding experience. I took a trip to Missouri and Arkansas last year in my 02 Camry. Yes I know it's not 4x4 but it was still fun none the less. I'm working to upgrade my ride to something a bit more versatile.
I work as a quality...
Been following SW Idaho Overlanding on Youtube. They are going out adventuring in a '77 Jeep Cherokee! really nice looking rig and adventures with their kiddos.
I'm in Lincoln. My Jeep is in North Platte currently. Working on getting it up and running soon, I hope. I go to some of the Nebraska Jeep Club meetups. I feel so out of place because I have an old Full-Size Jeep, and it's not even in town yet. Eventually, I'll upgrade my Toyota to a Jeep and do...
Really nice looking full size. I have a 1984 J10 that I'm in the process of getting running for long road trips like you described.
From all my research, beyond the classic issues of brakes, tires, fuel filters, and fluids, i think you'll do just fine as long as it runs ok. Taking along an...

1) Picture! If you have a rig, we want to see it!
- Well, my current rig is a 2002 Toyota Camry. I have a project jeep that is a 1984 J10. I'm looking at trading the Toyota in for a jeep rig at some point. Not many good pics of it yet.
2) Location (General area...
