I have been using "Torque Pro" for my F250 for about a year now and I love it. It allows me to keep tabs on some more specific information that will let me know if something is deteriorating before it becomes a problem. It also gives me some niceties like a GPS speedometer that keeps me legal...
My '06 F-250
This isn't my "dedicated" overlanding rig, but it serves that purpose frequently enough. It's the do-all rig in my stable, and is quite functional in most arenas. The fact that it's far more comfortable than my Jeep allows it to challenge it for superiority
It seems like...
I'm excited to see this progress! What's your definition of vintage :grinning: does my 85 CJ count? I'd love to make a small part of this trail if I can get everything dialed in in time.
I'll be missing this meetup. My daughter is flying to Germany to be with her husband the morning of the 20th, so I'll be at the airport with her. Hopefully something else comes along in short order though
Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can help me understand what I'm looking for when it comes to upgrading my headlights on my old CJ7. They've always been lack luster, but as I get older I realize I don't want to have to compensate for them when technology has improved so much that I don't have to...
'85 CJ7 that I've had for longer than I'd admit. I'm working through getting it more road worthy now. It's sitting on a 4" lift, some extended shackles, and 35's. Locked front and rear with 4.88:1 gears.
The CB is the Cobra 29 LX BT, and the ham is the ICOM IC-2730A. I've decided to put the CB in my Jeep and the ham in my F250 for the time being. I think I'll end up trailering my Jeep to trailheads and whatnot, and I drive my truck far more often.
I haven't installed anything, yet. I'm waiting...
I was good, apparently. I got a new CB (my older one stopped transmitting recently), a new mobile HAM, and an ammo can set that comes with a storage base. Now to get it all installed and figure out what to put in the cans
Merry Belated Christmas Ya'll!
Wow, I'm glad you posted this. It looks like I'm in the same situation, although the other user that comes up with my member number doesn't appear to actually be a member when you click on the link. Interesting.
I was able to hear until I blew up echolink trying to fix my mic. It was a PEBKAC issue. I got re-installed, and I should be good, but I missed the net.
PEBKAC = Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair
Add me to the list of interested, please, Brent. KG5JLP. My son has a swim meet this evening, so I may not make it, but I'll give it the ol' college try.
