Glad to hear that the route is wide enough for full size trucks, but hopefully you still have some challenges in store for us.... those who prefer can always take a bypass.
I've gotten into SUP lately, and the bed rack with a Rhino-Rack Pioneer platform on top ends up being the perfect height for a board on my Thule DockGrip carriers. Marcus from Dethloff Mfr made me some custom brackets to connect the platform to his 2" cross bars... Much cleaner than the stock...
Yup, it's a thing. The Ram Power Wagon and Jeep Rubicon models have this feature. Basically, there's a magnetically actuated coupler in the center of the sway bar; flip a switch, and it's electronically disengaged, which allows each side to articulate freely.
I think they're redesigning it a bit since I ordered mine. The one in your link looks a little different... The larger platform probably helps keep it steadier with larger devices.
I recorded my track the whole damn day, except i accidentally let the track shut off for one trail, which so happened to include the tight section (as well as a challenging iced over water/mud hole). Leon knows that whole area like the back of his hand, so I'm sure if i sent him my track with...
I went down on a ride with Leon and some others a few weeks ago - it was a lot of fun, but we did do one section that was very tight for a full size... I'd prefer to skip any sections that tight in the future.
Looks good! I see you have your Maxtrax mounted inverted under your cross bars... How long have you been running them like that? I've been curious if the mounting pins would hold up to the dynamic load of 4 Maxtrax in the inverted position long term.
