Slides for me take up to much room After much consideration this is what I did,built the boxes fairly snug .They run on 1/8 inch strips of hardwood on each side and Teflon tape on the bottom of the boxes . Tape is similar to this

Late spring snow last Saturday

Great read, reading your write up make me want to back up in that area again .We went in 2017 to Yukon and Northwest Territories, It's a special place.

Planing a trip next year to BC ,looking for as many roads like this I can find,Thanks

I went out a couple hours north a couple weeks ago ,there was so much snow it was hard to find a spot off the road. Good fun.
