Very cool! I built my own as well, always something to keep you from being totally finished but that first night sleeping in it certainly gives you a great sense of pride. Love to see a full build thread.

Wire brush and rust stop flat black paint have suited me well. You can go with a bedliner spray but make sure you clean it up very well before hand or you are just coating the rust.

How did the UPOL Raptor lining work out for you? I've heard great things. I've got the same exact trailer as you can see from my picture...just primed it throughout and now I'm trying to decide if I should just spray the bed only or go for the entire trailer. Also how many bottle total did it...

In agreement with @CalTexMex , think it comes down to personal choice and terrain you're covering. I'm running General Grabber AT2 for about 15K miles now, I've rotated them once at 10K and they still look new. Friend of mine got about 50K out of them with mild off-road use. Road noise is...
I love it...giving me some great ideas for mine. While I didn't start from complete scratch, I'm working through the process of deciding what add-ons I need and what is overkill. Good luck as you continue to build out...keep up the good work.
Love the idea to make the entire setup more compact. I'm going back and forth on cooking apparatus but I really like the idea of the skottle grill...reviews/feedback anyone?
Welcome! Definitely excited about seeing the pics...what color did you go with? Overland Expo East was a blast, last time I we had 3 wild turkeys run right passed us on the main lawn at the Biltmore. They're so quick.
Thanks, I have about 40 hours in it so far with rust removal, primer, and metal fab/modification. Worth every minute, that first night of sleeping in the tent was very fulfilling.
I had no idea those CRVs came with a built in tailgate table. Pretty awesome! I am jealous of the gas mileage you must get, a lot better than my 4Runner.
