Latest picture of my coastal offroad fj cruiser bumper. Welding done. Ive got to make the light holes 1/8 bigger on each side to fit these new lights. Then drill holes for lights on top. Then finish it. Powder coat or paint. Still thinking on it.

Ive seen something like this for $100. This is a work in progress and im into it for $20 and 15 minutes. Gonna cut some slots for the strap and go to a 2" strap. The nuts on the mount grip the tire very well and this thing isnt going to move.
I think the beauty of this syatem is you only need reinforced hinges when you are fully loaded on the trail. And even then its only when you are using or keeping the door open. Learn to keep the door closed more and only have the weight on when you actually might need it, and stock hinges will...
