Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Love my Plano boxes. My needs are slightly different. We have a few smaller boxes for our camping gear to be organized. The gear all stays separated in our water tight offroad trailer so we don't need to condense it into just a couple boxes because it hardly ever needs to be transported far...
"All modifications and maintenance are done by me." - best sentence. Its important to know your vehicle. No AAA out on the trail. I do all my own mods as well.
I'm installing a solar setup on my trailer this weekend. I picked up an optima bluetop and a flexible 100w solar panel with a charge controller. Going to bolt a lockable Plano box to the side of the trailer with the charge controller and volt meter and plugs inside. The battery will be in a...
I had the old man emu Dakar suspension when I was running a softoper/bedrack/ rtt. It held the weight great offroad. The RTT sitting above the cab does affect the mileage but I stopped caring about mileage long ago.
I did my own dual battery setup and it was a lot of work. I saved some money but in hind sight probably should have gone with off the grids setup. I also added solar to my truck setup. Ill be adding solar and a battery to my trailer soon so I can have my fridge in both the truck and trailer. Its...
I have a tire plug kit in all 3 of my vehicles and have used them several times on my cars and other. No need for a fancy kit. I have the $3 dollar kits from walmart. They work great.

Ive seen several flats from people not airing down and the traction when crawling without airing down is terrible. Also the ride is so much smoother with aired down tires. Totally worth it. I usually go down to 20 for overlanding/fireroad stuff. I go to 15 for offroadng.
I hike up the biggest hill. Once I get to the top I dig a hole and put my folding tolet seat over it. I then relax and enjoy the view with a fresh cup of coffee. After a few minutes I fill in the hole and hike down.
Thanks. The stove folds up against the door and hangs on a big magnet. Its also nice to not have to use the little green propane bottles. I picked up a 2 gallon tank.
Ran slickrock again this weekend. I had a blast out there but I bent my driveshaft on the hard line at the final obstacle . I Wheeled from the lake alpine side to the other end of the trail in 45 minutes though.
