Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
The wife and I spent the weekend camping and exploring the Mount Adams recreation area around Trout Lake, Washington. It was my first time enjoying this area of the state, and we were not disappointed.
We met up with a few other members of the Northwest Xterra Club Saturday morning, and spent...
I always dug the aesthetics of the Xterra...and put it up against the Wrangler, 4Runner, and FJ when I was vehicle shopping.
Honestly, they're all fairly comparable vehicles, but the overall value of the X stood out. I've enjoyed it thus far, despite a few shortcomings. I intend to run it 'till...
I can't do the weekend of the 25th, as I'll be attending the Northwest Overland Rally. A weekend in late July would be preferable for me.
@Trixter404 I can probably hold off till that weekend to do Fortune Creek. Trail conditions might be more favorable then, anyways.
I've never run the WABDR, but your best source for up-to-date trail status would be the folks at Northwest Overland. I would check in on the forums there and state your inquiry. A lot of those folks live in and around the cascades and WABDR sections, and will likely have traversed the region...
So how many folks are still interested in this? If there isn't a whole lot of interest, still, I may just try and do Fortune Creek that weekend if snow levels permit.
Daily driving I get about 14.5 MPG. Although that's including quite a bit of driving on a military post, which is essentially the same as stop-and-go driving in a city. On the highway, at or around 60-65 MPH, I get around 18-19 without the tent up top. If the majority of your commute is highway...
I was wondering the same thing after our conversation last weekend at TSF. Looks like someone from Northwest Overland tried to make it up there sometime in the past few days, and there's still too much snow. Granted, it looks like he tried to do it with one vehicle...
Will water in the rear diff really have caused significant issues in that short of period of time? I agree, you need a breather extension, but it seems like damage would have taken longer to accrue after taking on water in the diff than 24 hours or less.
So I took most of last week off of work for a 5-day camping/hiking/wheeling trip from the Olympic Peninsula down the Oregon coast. I didn't take too many pictures, but I enjoyed every bit of the experience, nonetheless.
Starting Wednesday, I drove out to the staircase region north of Lake...
Great photos, I love what you guys do with these Subarus. I'm currently trying to talk my wife into trading in her GTI for a Crosstrek.....not because it's anymore practical for our purposes, but because I just really want a freaking Subaru in the driveway.
